I have spent 18 years in the business of advertising, both as a Planning Director as well as a Managing Director in agencies like Leo Burnett, JWT, Havas, Publicis and McCann.

In 2012 August, I realised that the world and the business of advertising were going through a permanent change and professionals like me were not investing enough in embracing that change. So I decided to put my “money where my mouth is”, packed my bags and …  went all the way to Stockholm, Sweden.

I joined the Digital Data Strategist program in Hyper Island Stockholm, which is referred to as the “Digital Harvard”.

The Hyper Island journey, for me, had opened up direct exposure to digital lead ideas and processes for clients like Acne Studios: Sweden’s International Premium Fashion Brand, Bonnier Media: One of world’s largest media conglomerates, General Mills: One of world’s largest food corporations, FundedByMe: One of the fastest growing equity crowd funding start ups, Informationisbeautiful: One of the world’s best data visualisation agencies, Spotify: Best known across the world for their music streaming service and Hyper Island itself as a brand. This exposure had come with the best in class digital professionals imparting their most practical applied knowledge, every day.

Today, I am a rare strategist with a Google Analytics Individual Qualification (94%) and a Cannes Grand Prix to my name. Apart from being a specialist in human insights and business development, I am adept at web analytics, content strategy, data management, data visualisation, business intelligence and data storytelling.

Hyper Island, had presented me as one of the world’s first New Digital Data Strategists.

This following video is the personal presentation I had made for my admission into the program. I believe it succinctly summarises who I am.
